As we write this blog, the UK is experiencing a strange time with the loss of our Queen of 70 years and the accession of our new King Charles III.
Living close to London and closer still to Windsor, we have often visited the Long Walk to see the Queen drive past for various celebrations. It was once a tradition with us that we would visit the Long Walk on Ladies Day to see the Queen on her way to the races.
She was very much loved by her people, as witnessed by the crowds waiting in line to file past her coffin in these current days.
On Monday, we will say goodbye to our Queen and be thankful that she is reunited with her beloved husband, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
Rest in peace Ma'am, and thank you.
